What have I painted with Shoreline?
This weeks featured color on the American Paint Company’s blog is Shoreline. Last winter I finished up an antique secretary using Parchment and Shoreline. I did not get a chance to share it with you all… and this weeks blog has motivated me to get it on my blog!
Al Stackhouse, a dealer at Northgate Antiques had this for sale a couple years ago and I jumped on it. The price was right and I knew it would be fun to give it a face lift. She had some damage on the front of the drawers and one of the feet… but solid wood and great bones made her irresistible!
I first started with red on the inside and Parchment on the out side… then the desk sat for about a year.
Last winter I was ready to start working on it again. I added coat of Parchment on the outside and then used Shoreline for the inside, center and top.
I painted the drawer pulls with Wild Horses, APC’s retired brown and then applied American Paint’s Clear Wax with APC’s Gold Mica mixed in!
I finished up the desk with Top Coat and a Desert Cactus glaze.
I hope you all enjoyed the transformation as much as I did creating it! She is in a new home enjoying a special place in someones heart!
